The Coin Building in Abu Dhabi

United Arab Emirates is known for unique buildings and here is an another milestone by Aldar properties. A 23 storey disc shaped building is a circular office situated on the highway located in Abu Dhabi. 

It is known as “The Coin”, which contains 49,000 sqm premium office space, which ranges from 1700 sqm to 2700 sqm. This 120 meters high building was designed by MZ & Partners, which claim to be the first green building and also expecting the minimum LEED silver rating award by U.S Green building council. 

The distinctive building was voted the “Best Futuristic Design” by The Building Exchange (BEX) Conference held in Spain. The shape of this building is achieved through the use of structural diagrid, a diagonal grid of steel.
